Dr. Nicole Strecker

Dr. Strecker was born and raised in Louisville, KY. She attended St. Gabriel as a child and then went on to Sacred Heart Academy (Go Valkyries!). She developed a passion for gymnastics at a young age which carried her through high school and eventually to a scholarship at the University of Denver in Colorado. She competed in every meet all 4 years of her college career and her team went on to compete at the NCAA Division I Championships 2 out of 4 years.

Following college, she returned from The Bluegrass State to attend medical school at the University of Kentucky where she went on to be inducted into the esteemed Alpha Omega Alpha honors society. After 4 years in Lexington, she traveled down 64 W to complete her residency in the combined Internal Medicine and Pediatrics program back home at the University of Louisville. Following completion of residency, she entered the world of primary care, first in private practice and then most recently within a hospital-based system. She is dual board certified in both internal medicine and pediatrics and truly loves seeing patients of all ages and being able to take care of the whole family. She is passionate about building relationships with her patients and is looking forward to the more personal nature of this new practice to be able to provide more detailed and individualized care to each of her patients.

Dr. Strecker is married to her husband, Fred, who is also a Louisville native. They met while she was still in college and were married during medical school. They have 3 boys, Nolan (7), Lucas (4), and Jack (2) that keep them very busy and always entertained. Nolan attends St. Mary Academy and they recently moved to the Glen Oaks neighborhood before the birth of their 3rd son. Dr. Strecker loves to spend time with her friends and family and on the weekends, you can find her playing outside with her boys or at the zoo. She loves to go to the lake in the summer and you can find her decorating for Christmas as soon as the weather turns cold! She is a lifelong UL fan and loves any chance she gets to cheer on the Cards!
